It's Almost the Most Monstery Time of the Year

This is a magical time of year when ceramic turkeys happily share space with a stray ghostly bowl of leftover trick-or-treats.

Barely a week past Halloween and I am looking for creative ways to use our hefty collection of monster cereals. I've always been a collect-all-five kind of girl, but even I find it difficult to consume cereal in these quantities.

Last week we munched on Monster Cereal Party Mix. Although it wasn't the prettiest snack at the party table, it was DELICIOUS! This week we'll nibble our way through a batch of slightly less dignified Yummy Mummy Bars. Next week, maybe some quick pickled Boo Berry?

Yummy Mummy Bars
2 tablespoons butter
5 ounces (1/2 bag) miniature marshmallows
3 cups Yummy Mummy cereal

In large saucepan melt butter. Add marshmallows and lower heat; stir constantly until marshmallows are just melted. Combine marshmallows and cereal in large mixing bowl and use rubber spatula to thoroughly mix, making sure to coat each cereal piece.

Use buttered hands to push cereal mixture into small buttered cake pan. Cool before cutting into squares.
