Holiday Preparations
Tonight I'll be prepping and baking probably the second most important contributions to the Thanksgiving feast (stuffing takes the highest place of honor on my plate): cranberries and pie.
Cranberries get a little complicated when your family is as large as mine is, so my offerings include jellied cranberries (the kind with the side notches to prove it resided in a can), whole cranberry sauce, and cranberry mostarda because some of us are a little snobby when it comes to our relish. As for the desserts: Coconut-Ginger Pumpkin, French silk, and an apple cake.
