PreOscar Practice
We are gearing up for next weekend's Oscars. Whether you attend a party, watch alone in the dark, or skip the entire scene, I hope you'll have time for a little revelry. My favorite Oscar moments are far behind us. Remember when Cher won for Moonstruck? Or Jack Palance's one-armed push-ups? Or Roberto Benigni jumping over chairs to get to the stage? Oscar has become a little too... well, dull. This year our only hope for excitement is Clooney mustering up something clever, or Angelina passing out on the red carpet (If she came to my house I'd feed her dip, even though I am Team Jen.).
Artichoke-Olive Dip
1/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup Greek-style yoghurt
1/2 cup mozzarella or provolone, shredded
1/4 cup Parmesan, shredded
15 ounce can artichoke hearts, chopped coarsely
1/4 cup Kalamata olives, chopped
1/4 cup roasted red pepper, chopped
3 to 5 pepperocini, chopped
Paprika, dry mustard
Combine well sour cream, maynnaise, yoghurt, and cheeses; add artichoke, olives, pepper, and pepperocini. Place in buttered large casserole or smaller single-serve custard cups. Dust with paprika and mustard. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Serve with pita chips or bread.
