Dinner and a Christmas Movie!
In honor of my 500th CulturalConstruct posting (it happened on Sunday without even a whimper) and at T's recommendation, I am announcing a feature that will run through the holidays: Dinner and a Christmas Movie. Each week or so I'll pitch the perfect meal to serve with favorite Christmas/Holiday movies. Feel free to send me any obscure holiday flick titles!
First up: Miracle on 34th Street (the original version, although my favorite adaptation remains the 1973 David Hartman/Jane Alexander/Roddy McDowall made-for-TV epic because Mr. French a.k.a. Sebastian Cabot starring as Kris Kringle trumps all other Santa-poseurs). Return later for the skinny (or, eh hem, the fat facts as Mr. French might say).
