Sage Advice
Our sage went a little crazy this summer. Lucky us! Fry these fragrant leaves in HOT butter or olive oil (about 30 seconds each side) then drain on paper towels and salt generously. Serve over your favorite poultry, pasta, roasted vegetables, bread, or anything that might improve with a savory crunch. I always make lots of extra because I cannot control myself and eat leaf after leaf of the crisp little guys right out of the pan. Fried sage is the bacon of herbs; it improves everything.
