Day One at The Fair and I walked around with a smile so permanent that my head still aches after some aspirin and a shower.  For twelve days a year it doesn't matter who you vote for, how much money you make, what you look like, or where you live.  For twelve days a year we hang out, walk around, look at eachother, admire animals and vegetables, and eat.  If we are lucky we hear some great music, run into friends, and learn something new about our neighbors and ourselves.

The bargain book is a book of coupons. The cool thing is each coupon has a map on the back as to where you can find the vendor. The book was $4 at Cub.
