After the Storms
Peppers down
T's beloved Knee High by the 4th of July
The morning after storms whipped up our trees and shrubs I am grateful that T had the good sense to bring in our container gardens. I don't think the delicate tomatoes and our favorite Jade (who summers outdoors) would have made it through the night. T and the cats have spent some mournful moments peering out of the back windows at the flattened greenery. Hopefully he can restake the peppers and corn and we'll have no visible signs that last night ever happened.
As always, things could be a lot worse! And riding out the tornados in the basement last night allowed me to get some much needed laundry done. Today looks to be bright and cool; perfect for thesis rewrites, market salads, rib grilling, and Swedish thinbread (tunnbröd) experiments.
