Farmers Market Salads

A farmers market salad is made of every edible thing purchased at most recent visits to the market. The one pictured above is my first fm salad of the season, (inserting Seinfeld episode quote here) and it was spectacular. Baby lettuces, pea shoots, radishes, dill, chives, and green onions dressed with honey (also from the market), mustard, vinegar, and olive oil.

While we are on the topic of salads, this one might get you rethinking the caprese. Fresh mozerella layered between slices of apricot and peach, drizzled with fig vinegar, olive oil, chives, and dill (no basil to be found in these parts). Not terribly local (except for the herbs) although the cheese hails from Wisconsin.
