Oscar Vittles

Another Oscar has come and gone, and I am the only person I know who loved NPH's intro, adored SJP's gown, and stayed up until the bitter end only looking away from the television during the dance production.

Filet spiced with orange and bourbon,

sliced thin on toast with melted Swiss and horseradish

Plump shrimp cocktail

Fun with Puff Pastry: olive and Swiss squares, and turkey pigs in blankets

plus Empanadas ala Marcus

Condiments: lingonberry ketchup, kumkuat chutney, peanut sauce, mustard and sparkling wine

Dessert: Balsamic strawberries and cream whipped with vanilla and bourbon
