Gyoza Ravioli

Before Asian dumplings (potstickers, wontons, springrolls, etc.) took their place on every chain restaurant appetizer menu in America all I knew were eggrolls. And eggrolls were enough. Then gyoza made his introductions and my world became a little better. By the time I returned to American shores Leeann Chin was all the rage and my mom stopped for takeout on our way home from the airport. I was confused that the Chinese appetizer combo included a Japanese dumpling, until someone explained, "Those are potstickers. You can order them fried or steamed." Ah, options!

Today at Called to the Table read about another option for wonton wraps: quick ravioli!
