Rediscovering Brussels Sprouts

There are several foods that I am embarrassed to admit not liking. Blue cheese, Lima beans, and Brussels sprouts head the list.

But the way my friend Kathryn makes Brussels sprouts converted me. She tosses them into salted, boiling water for a few minutes then cools them immediately in an ice bath. Served chilled with a nice garlic aioli and who needs dinner?
